Bi-power dryers are equipment designed for take advantage of two different energy sources to heat the air necessary for the fabric drying process.
At the moment there are two variants available:
• From electric to steam: the first version offers the flexibility to switch from the use of traditional electric heating to steam heating. This is made possible thanks to the integration of a selector which allows you to easily switch between the two energy sources. During the colder months, therefore, it is possible to take advantage of the steam generator commonly used in hospitals, nursing homes and clinics, for heating and/or other activities. In summer, however, when the centralized steam system is not in operation, the electrical option is the preferred one.
• Solar and geothermal energy: the second allows you to bear fruit renewable energy sources such as solar or geothermal energy, significantly reducing dependence on traditional energy sources. Using solar panels (not photovoltaic) or geothermal energy, it is possible, in fact, to pre-heat the air at almost zero cost, reducing the use of the electric battery and, therefore, also energy consumption from 20 to 30%.
All electric dryers Large plants can be offered in a bi-power version: from the GDZ275 to the larger GD1000. Dryers with bi-power technology, therefore, are used in a wide range of sectors, from the food industry to industrial laundry, from hospitals to nursing homes.
